IMPORTANT!

  1. State providers now require a corresponding Snapshot or State trigger for every snapshot or state field they use. For example, a state calculated by a Timer trigger that reads a snapshot also requires a trigger for that snapshot. Review existing state configurations before upgrading.
  2. Analytics and reports that filter data by scheduled shifts now exclude scheduled breaks. For example, a shift from 08:00 to 17:00 with a break from 12:00 to 13:00 contributes eight working hours instead of nine. Results may therefore differ from those generated by earlier versions.
  3. Maintenance Jobs can now be started only from the Maintenance workplace. Other Job types are available there for viewing.
  4. Several API contracts and configuration formats have changed. Review the API Changes section and the driver configuration changes below when updating integrations.

New Features and Improvements

  1. Completely redesigned the DPA Server management interface. In technical Monitoring, the navigation tree has been replaced with tables supporting filtering and sorting. DPA Server now also provides its own web interface and API, allowing it to be managed either through DPA Host or directly.

  2. Added formula-based state calculation using Microsoft Power Fx syntax, familiar from Excel formulas. All Simple state providers have been converted to Power Fx formulas. The formula editor provides suggestions for available functions and expressions, simplifying state configuration and reducing the need for scripts.

    State provider behavior has changed. Every snapshot or state field used by a provider now requires a corresponding Snapshot or State trigger. For example, a state calculated by a Timer trigger that reads a snapshot also requires a trigger for that snapshot.

  3. IMPORTANT! Analytics and reports that filter data by scheduled shifts now exclude scheduled breaks. For example, a shift from 08:00 to 17:00 with a break from 12:00 to 13:00 previously contributed nine hours; it now contributes only the eight working hours, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00. The left pie chart in the “Summary Distribution” analytics now also displays all breaks.

  4. Added TimescaleDB as an alternative to file-system storage for Work center Indicators. Select the storage type in the IndicatorStorage section of DPA Host’s appsettings.json.

    For TimescaleDB:

    1
    2
    3
    4

    "IndicatorStorage": {
      "Type": "timescaledb",
      "ConnectionString": "Host=localhost;Port=5432;Database=indicators;Username=postgres;Password=your_password"
    }

    For file-system storage:

    1
    2
    3

    "IndicatorStorage": {
      "Type": "filesystem"
    }

    These fragments belong inside the root configuration object. If IndicatorStorage is omitted, file-system storage remains the default. Restart DPA Host to apply changes.

  5. Added the “Operating Regulations” module for creating and maintaining equipment operating profiles. A profile contains Work centers, associated regulations, and media files. Regulations support service intervals, maintenance types, versioning, and change history, as well as process sheets, required spare parts, materials, and other related information.

    Added a Maintenance journal with manual entry of completed work. Maintenance Jobs can now reference a specific operating regulation; completing such a Job automatically adds a corresponding journal record. History and media-file interfaces have also been improved. Some history and media-file components have been migrated to React to simplify further maintenance.

  6. Added a Jobs tab to the Maintenance workplace. It displays available Jobs, including production Jobs. Maintenance Jobs can be started only from this workplace; other Job types are read-only there. Added a system setting controlling the Job loading period for Mechanics.

  7. Added the “Command timeout (sec.)” setting for database commands used when generating reports. The default is 30 seconds and can be increased for reports covering longer periods.

  8. Updated Ocelot to version 25.0.0. Added a configurable timeout for requests to microservices in appsettings.json. For example, a longer timeout may be useful for KPI analytics or reports processing large volumes of data:

    1
    2
    3

    "ReverseProxy": {
      "Timeout": "00:03:00"
    }

  9. Removed the 60-second limit for reports started by Signals. Running reports can be cancelled manually on the Generated reports tab in Reports.

  10. Improved OPC UA driver performance, reducing memory consumption and CPU thread usage. Improved driver logging.

  11. Updated the IFM driver and expanded the data available for reading.

  12. Optimized the Okuma, Mazak, and Sinumerik (SLD) drivers.

  13. Added a driver configuration for NUM machines.

  14. Simplified driver configuration:

    • removed redundant DriverIdentifier entries;
    • made Driver the root XML element containing snapshots, states, and other configuration elements;
    • replaced driver references in the global configuration with discovery and loading based on the file-system structure;
    • moved each driver’s activation state into its own configuration;
    • removed the requirement for driver configuration directories to have GUID names, allowing them to be renamed freely.
  15. Added cancellation of obsolete Gantt chart requests when scrolling the timeline, reducing database load.

  16. Added manual entry of a barcode or RFID sign-in code without a scanner.

  17. Reduced resource consumption when generating selected custom reports. Removed services and models used exclusively by custom reports from the core codebase to simplify maintenance.

  18. Added automatic refresh for KPI analytics on Dashboards.

  19. Updated the “Plan Analysis with Material Consumption” report to account for the shift schedule when generating daily production plans and calculating daily material consumption.

  20. Added configurable background colors for Work center cards on 2D and 3D Dashboards, using either a fixed value or a custom variable such as {customdata.mycolor}. The 2D Dashboard now provides “Set background color manually” and “Background color” settings. In the 3D Dashboard, “Fill color” has been renamed to “Background color”. Format hints are available in both editors.

  21. Added the current Foreman to Work center cards on 2D and 3D Dashboards. Operator information now shows only Operators with open Personal shifts on the corresponding Work center, replacing the previous behavior that could show the person who performed the latest action.

  22. Expanded the configurable number of downtime-reason columns in the Operator and Foreman workplaces to 1–10.

  23. Optimized user-action auditing to reduce its impact on normal requests when the Audit service is slow, temporarily unavailable, or disabled.

  24. Removed the “Deny login” and “Allow login to the system” permissions. Use account locking instead. Users previously denied access through these permissions are automatically locked.

  25. Refactored SignalR authorization infrastructure to improve reuse and simplify further development.

  26. Implemented a unified SignalR subscription mechanism for the main application and all workplaces.

  27. Removed the need to query the database when creating user-specific SignalR subscriptions.

  28. Standardized server-side SignalR request and response models.

  29. Unified SignalR data-exchange models between the server and the main user interface to reduce structural inconsistencies and improve reliability.

  30. Switched all workplaces to automatically generated SignalR data models.

  31. Removed unused localization resources.
